Workshops – Dogri Sanstha, Jammu

1	In second half of the decade of eighties Dogri Sanstha Jammu organised a 45 days theatre workshop to train the young and budding artists of the region for stage performance. Thirty participants participated in this workshop. The workship was coordinated by famous stage play director Sh. Deepak Kumar.In this workshop well known theatre personalities namely Sh. Kavi Rattan, Smt. Susham Sharma, Prof. Lalit Magotra, Sh. Pritam Katoch were the resource persons. During this workshop a Dogri Play namely "Din Baar" was produced and staged at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu.
2	A theatre workshop was organised by Dogri Sanstha Jammu from Ist November 1995 to 30th November 1995. This workshop was held under the supervision of Sh. Mushtak Kak,a well-known stage play director. A good number of participants were given training in various aspects of stage performance. The play namely "Sava Ser Kanak" written by Shiv Ram 'Deep' was produced in this workshop which was staged on Ist December 1995
3	Orientation Course: To meet the requirement of teachers teaching Dogri subject at school and college level Dogri Sanstha Jammu in collaboration with C.I.I.L, Mysore orgainsed an eight day orientation programme from 23rd Nov, 1998 to 30th Nov, 1998. Many teachers from High and Higher Secondary Schools and Degree colleges of the region including Research Scholars participated in this course. Those who delivered lectures in this programme includes Prof. Nilamber Dev Sharma, Prof Veena Gupta, Prof Champa Sharma, Prof Lalit Magotra and Dr. Shashi Pathania.
4	Telescript Writing Workshop: Dogri Sanstha Jammu organised a six days telescript writing workshop from December 7 to December 12, 1998. Famous film director Sh. Ved Rahi inagurated this workship, while renowned theatre personality Sh. Balwant Thakur was the Chief Guest. Thirty Five script writers participated in this workshop, which was concluded on 12 of Dec, 1998.
5	Workshop on Dogri Script and Spellings: Dogri Sanstha Jammu in collaboration with Post Graduate Department of Dogri, University of Jammu organised a 5 days workshop from March 22, 2005 to March 26, 2005 on Dogri Script and Spellings which was inagurated by the Secretary J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages Sh Ramesh Mehta, while Prof. Nilamber Dev Sharma was the Chief Guest of the programme. More than eighty students, scholars and writers participated in this workshop. The function of this workshop was graced by Prof Amitabh Matto,the VC of University of Jammu.
6	Playwright Workshop: A five days playwright workshop in Dogri from Oct 23, 2005 to Oct 27, 2005 was organised in collaboration with Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi at Dogri Bhawan Karan Nagar, Jammu. The workshop was inagurated by Padmshree Prof Ram Nath Shastri.Those who participated in this workshop include Ms Sushma Sharma, Sh. Sudhir Mahajan, Sh. Jitendra Sharma, Sh Deepak Kumar, Sh. Chhatrapal, Dr Manoj, Prof Lalit Magotra, Sh. Chaman Arora, Sh Shiv Mehta and Sh. Pritam Katoch.In this workshop three new plays were produced.
7	Orientation Course: Dogri Sanstha Jammu in collaboration with C.I.I.L, Mysore orgainsed 2 day orientation programme from 23 to 24 February, 2008 for users of Dogri Style Manual. Many teachers from High and Higher Secondary Schools and Degree colleges of the region including Research Scholars participated in this course. Those who delivered lectures in this programme includes Prof. Nilamber Dev Sharma, Prof Veena Gupta, Prof Lalit Magotra, Dr. Shashi Pathania, Prof. Satyapal Srivats, Dr. Shiv Dev Manhas, Dr. Bharat Bhushan and Dr. Yograj.
8	Translation Workshop: Dogri Sanstha in collaboration with Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi organized a 5 day Kashmiri-Dogri short story translation workshop from 11 to 15 January, 2012 at Press Club, Jammu. Those who participated in this workshop as translators include Sh Narendra Bhasin, Sh. Chhatrapal, Sh. Dhyan Singh, Sh. Pradyuman Singh, Prof. Satyapal Srivats, Ms. Vijaya Thakur, Sh. Shiv Mehta, Sh. Chaman Arora, Sh Susheel Begana, Sh. Chhatrapal, Dr Manoj, Prof Lalit Magotra, Sh. Chaman Arora, Sh Shiv Mehta, Dr. Nirmal Vinod and Sh. Madan Padha. Prof. Shashi Pathania and Sh. Ayaz Rasool Nazaki were the resource persons. Prof. Lalit Magotra and Prof. Veena Gupta were the Directors of the workshop.
9	Vetting Workshop: Dogri Sanstha Jammu in collaboration with National Translation Mission, C.I.I.L, Mysore orgainsed a five day workshop from 23 to 27 January, 2012 on vetting of standarization of Technical vocablury in Dogri. Prof. Nilambar Dev Sharma, Prof. Lalit Magotra, Prof. Veena Gupta and Prof. Shashi Pathania were the experts present during the workshop.
